Philodendron 'Pink Princess Galaxy'

Derived from Philodendron erubescens, a species native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia, the 'Pink Princess Galaxy' is a rare high expression variant of the classic Pink Princess. The 'Galaxy' strain is prized for its high-density, starry flecks and marbled pink speckling scattered across dark green foliage. The leaves emerge bright vibrant pink and deep reddish-burgundy before maturing into a glossy, dark green with blush pink to cream mature variegation.

This plant is a climbing hemiepiphyte that uses aerial roots to anchor onto trees or support structures. As it climbs upward, internode spacing tightens and new leaves grow larger and more dramatic. High humidity (60%+) prevents new leaves from getting trapped or tearing inside their sheaths (cataphylls) as they unfurl and bright indirect light is essential to keeping the foliage coming out pink and highly variegated.
