About the Lush Leaf Lounge
The Lush Leaf Lounge is a boutique-style, exotic and rare houseplant shop and licensed Florida nursery. We operate on a Clearly Rooted™ philosophy, meaning we sell all of our plants with detailed listings and in clear pots, alongside a strict commitment to being open and honest about our business models and policies. Our collection includes many variegated heavy-hitters and collector species. We specialize in aroids and epiphytic tropicals such as Monstera, Hoya, and Philodendron, as well as a few other select favorites, like our African Violets.
We are a family-owned and operated small backyard business. Our nursery is fully licensed, though our current certifications do not allow us to ship to AZ, CA, or HI. You can read more about our Shipping Policy here.
Our Process
Most of the magic happens in Central Florida inside a 200-square-foot, climate-controlled greenhouse, affectionately nicknamed "the Lounge." This is where we house the majority of our mother plants and propagations. We also utilize an indoor grow area where our more sensitive varieties and all of our African Violets are raised. What we lack in space, we more than make up for in the detailed, expert care our plants receive. Because of our current space limitations, we won’t sell many full-sized plants, but our variety is far from lacking and always growing!
We cultivate clean, strong mother plants that display highly desirable characteristics. We use these plants for propagation, growing the cuttings into the established plants listed on our site. We also import tissue culture plantlets to acclimate and grow in the Lounge alongside our in-house propagations. Our listings will always clearly state the plant's source, along with valuable care information, a detailed description, pot size, potting media, and history.
Each plant that stays in the Lounge is treated with the utmost care to ensure it is lush, thriving, and structurally sound. We monitor their root systems closely to ensure they stay healthy right up until the moment they leave us to join you. We aim to set you and your new addition up for success so we can share the deeply fulfilling experience of growing your own jungle!

Hi there! I’m Kaley, the founder and primary force behind the Lush Leaf Lounge. While we are a family-owned business, when I say "we" in the daily operations, I’m usually talking about me, myself, and the plants!
My purpose is simple: to share my passion for horticulture with others and to enrich my own life while doing it. Growing plants is my absolute passion, and every day spent in the Lounge is a dream come true. So, whether you’re a long-time collector or just plant-curious, I’m here to provide not only rare and exotic specimens for your collection, but also the vital knowledge I’ve gained through years of hands-on experience and scientific learning.
