Hoya fitchii

Native to the lush, humid lowland forests of the Philippines, Hoya fitchii was named in honor of the botanical photographer who discovered the species, Charles Marsden Fitch. This collector species is famous for its firm, emerald-green leaves adorned with a striking, webbed venation. Its star-shaped blossoms range in color from apricot-orange to soft pink, feature a deep pinkish-red center (corona) and give off a sweet, floral scent.

In the wild, H. fitchii grows attached to tree branches in the upper canopies, receiving bright, dappled sunlight and drying our quickly after tropical rain. With high humidity and warm temperatures, this Hoya grows rapidly providing dense bright green foliage.
